BIOGRAPHICAL DATA

Carlos Dafé realiza uma live solidaria!!

             Composer, Instrumentalist, Singer and producer. Born in the suburb of Vila Isabel, in Rio de Janeiro.

His father, José de Sousa, was a civil servant and chorinho player. His mother, Conceição Gonçalves, was a poet who encouraged her children's musicality. 

His brothers are musicians and composers: Jorge Badezir (guitarist and bassist), Tuninho de Souza (guitarist and mandolinist), Luiz Carlos (guitarist), and Paulo César (singer). His son, Georgemari Dafé, follows in his father's footsteps and, in addition to singing and composing, plays cavaquinho, guitar, double bass, co-producer and percussion.

His daughter Verônica Dafé studied singing at Falarte and acts as a singer and vocalist for the bank in their shows and was a producer at Viva Rio radio (AM), a swing club. And Coming into the family of musicians for four years, wrong note that, by chance, father or any of his weeping friends were rightly considered. At the age of 11, he was already studying at the Conservatory of Music.

At 14 he was already playing accordion and vibraphone in ensembles and orchestras. In 1970, he toured with the Fuzi 9 group, from the Marine Corps, in Salvador (Bahia), Puerto Rico, Martinique and Curaçu. Multi-instrumentalist plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, piano, accordion and vibraphone.
